In this week’s Morning Consult survey, former President Donald Trump maintains a substantial lead over his Republican primary opponent Nikki Haley.

The tracking poll reveals that Trump enjoys the support of 81 percent of potential Republican primary voters, while Haley trails significantly with only 18 percent support. The survey’s margin of error stands at +/-2 percent, making Haley’s figures well outside this range.

Notably, only 13 percent of GOP primary voters “strongly agree” with Haley’s criticisms of Trump’s age, dismissing concerns that, at 77, he is too old to be president. The survey suggests that Haley’s attempts to question Trump’s age have not resonated significantly with the Republican base.

The Morning Consult survey also indicates Trump’s dominance in key states, including Nevada, South Carolina, and various Super Tuesday states, where he holds commanding leads.

These results align with the previous week’s survey, emphasizing Trump’s consistent and strong support within the Republican primary electorate.

Conducted from January 26 to 28, 2024, the survey collected responses from 4,044 potential Republican primary voters. The findings underscore Trump’s enduring popularity and firm standing among GOP voters as the primary season unfolds.
