- An inspector general report released in October 2022 highlighting a series of alleged misdeeds and abuses of the office of the Architect of the Capitol, which has stewardship over the U.S. Capitol grounds in Washington, D.C., that also includes the Supreme Court building.
- Blanton allegedly misrepresented himself as a law enforcement officer, led prohibited private tours of the Capitol and repeatedly misused his government-issued vehicle, which cost taxpayers nearly $14,000, according to the IG report.
