A recent development shared by Representative Matt Rosendale, a Republican from Montana, has drawn attention to a potential espionage balloon traversing the skies of Eastern Montana. Residents in Dawson County observed this aerial intruder at an altitude of 57,000 feet, prompting concerns regarding national security and the transparency surrounding such incidents.
Rep. Rosendale, who represents Montana’s newly-established 2nd Congressional District, expressed significant apprehension about the apparent lack of transparency surrounding the event.
In a tweet on Monday, he stated, “I contacted DoD and was informed that they are aware, but due to the size of the balloon and the low probability that it is conducting surveillance, they will not be investigating.”
