Mounties, Canada Forces Search For Wreckage In ‘Arctic Weather Conditions’

- Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Canadian forces would recover and analyze the wreckage.
- North American Aerospace Defense Command later said difficult arctic weather conditions including wind chill, snow, and limited daylight that could hinder search and recovery efforts.
- Meanwhile, Navy divers and vessels continue to try to recover the payload shot down Feb. 4 off the South Carolina coast.
- NORAD recently said sea conditions Friday “permitted dive and underwater unmanned vehicle (UUV) activities and the retrieval of additional debris from the sea floor.”
- “The Federal Bureau of Investigation will be working closely with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police,” the Defense Department said Saturday.
