Pope’s Easter Message: Pray for Ukrainians, Russians Alike

The 86-year-old Pope also called on Israelis and Palestinians to replace recent surge of deadly violence with “climate of trust.”

  • Tens of thousands of people celebrated the Easter Mass in St. Peter’s Square, in Vatican City, in Rome.
  • Francis also said Easter’s joy “illumines the darkness and gloom in which, all too often, our world finds itself enveloped.”
