In response to customer concerns about potential backlash similar to the recent Bud Light controversy, Target has directed certain southern stores to relocate LGBTQ Pride merchandise away from the front of their locations.
Each year, Target stores nationwide prominently showcase displays in honor of Pride Month during June. This year, the displays include a wide range of items, such as transgender-friendly bathing suits and gender-fluid mugs.
The corporation has faced criticism from conservatives over Pride-related children’s items, which has sparked frustration among many customers.
