- The group, Internet 2.0, on Feb. 13 used its new artificial intelligence (AI)-powered project, Malcore, to identify the rankings of each major social media site and found TikTok exceeded any other comparable platform in the industry in collecting personal information.
- According to Malcore’s analytics, the app owned by the China-based company ByteDance got 63.1 points, the “worst” score.
- The only other platform that was ranked closely to the popular, short-formo video app was VK, a Russian app that is globally banned from the Apple Store.
